Congresses as platforms for dialogue and cooperations
The annual EUPRERA congress in fall is a crystallization point for the research scene in the field of communications management and PR (2004 it was hold in Leipzig, then among other things, in Lisbon, Milan, Istanbul, Barcelona, Brussels and Oslo). It includes additional Ph. D. seminars to promote international networking of young researchers where regularly participants from Leipzig are represented. Another important conference, which is supported by the EUPRERA, is the annual international Bledcom conference in early summer at the Bled Lake in Slovenia. Furthermore professional events and exchange relationships offer a variety of approaches in order to network the research of the Leipzig scientists internationally.
Common projects – impulses from Leipzig for Europe
With partners of the EUPRERA network international projects were and will be implemented – for example the European-Communication-Monitor studies since 2007 as well as the previous Euroblog studies in 2006 and 2007 or the symposiums in Stuttgart, Gent (Belgian) and Berlin.
Commendations for master theses and dissertations
Annually at the beginning of the year the EUPRERA tenders the EUPRERA Master Thesis Award for Excellence for exemplary master theses as well as the EUPRERA Ph.D. Award for Excellent Doctoral Theses for dissertations every two years. Professor Bentele has directed the jury of the Ph.D.-Award together with Professor Betteke van Ruler (Amsterdam) since 2015 which was won several times before of the Leipzig PhD students.
