Branch associations

The dialogue and common projects with the communication economy are giving impetus to the research and teachings and ensure that university impulses can be quickly adopted in practice. Among others, cooperations are with: 

EACD European Association of Communication Directors 

As an association of more than 2.300 executive communication managers from different companies and organizations the EACD forms the only transnational network of the PR branch in Europe. The annual European Communication Summit in Brussels is regarded as an important meeting place of the trade; the magazine "Communication Director" provides information on the practice and research. Furthermore, the research team of the European Communication Monitor conducted by Professor Zerfaß is the academic association's partner and together an annual empirical study in more than 40 countries has been accomplished since 2009. DPRG Deutsche Public Relations Gesellschaft e.V. 

The tradition-steeped trade association of public relations is characterized by a wide-ranging commitment to professionalization the field of work and to work with young talents. Examples for collaboration are the jury direction of the International German PR Award the DPRG represents by Professor Zerfaß, the longstanding engagement of Professor Bentele for the Albert-Oeckl-Award the DPRG represents as well as the cooperation of Professor Zerfaß with the DPRG task force "Value Creating Communication" that he conducted many years as co-chairman. BdP Bund Deutscher Pressesprecher e V. 

The largest professional organization invigorates the trade of communication with the annual Communication Congress in Berlin and many different kinds of other activities. In cooperation with Professor Bentele studies on the professional field of press spokesmen have been multiply conducted since 2007. Moreover, Professor Zerfaß implemented different kind of studies on mid-size communication and social media governance with the association and its magazine "pressesprecher". GPRA Gesellschaft Public Relations Agenturen e.V. 

The association of leading German communication agencies represents the most profiled and most grown trade of service companies. Professor Zerfaß cooperates frequently with the GPRA in various projects. Among others as cofounder of an common industry portal (pr-guide.de) and in different kind of studies within the 90s. DRPR Deutscher Rat für Public Relations 

As institution of self-control the DRPR punishes communicative misbehavior towards publics and by doing this it is comparable to the German Press Council or the German Advertising Council. It is carried by the DPRG, BdP, GPRA and de'ge'pol associations. Professor Bentele is chairman and longstanding member of the council. More information on the DRPR.

The organization of specialists in public affairs, campaign consulting, concepts and communication associates consultants, agencies and business presences. More information on the de'ge'pol. 

DIRK Deutscher Investor Relations Verband e.V.  

The organization is the largest professional organization for investor relations in Europe. The independent provider creates a network between science and practice and promotes the profession. More information in the DIRK.
